Both pipes have a pretty good running start so you would be ok to level off the the pipe where it goes into the connector. The black tank is the only one you really need to worry about having enough slope for proper draining to make sure all the solids keep moving along, not a problem so much with the gray tank as it will drain with even the slightest of slope.

I walked over to measure the distance on their sewer pipe and guess what - the cap was missing and the bottom of their black tank pipe looked like it scraped the road - so, looks like they hit bad enough to yank off the cap.

Mine is the same ... With 7.5" clearance. Interesting though, with almost 7.5k miles, not one scratch. Perhaps the extra foot of length on the V23BHS helps. Although my $800 bike rack on the back has taken a beating

I think I'm going to order this from Amazon and see if I can use it to level out the black tank pipe toward the valve end - 22.5 degree elbow... https://www.amazon.com/NIBCO-5808-Fi...cm_wl_huc_item

As well as moving the drain up I would try to move it forward as well. The closer it is to the axles the lesslikely it is to bottom out.

That's why I think my Vision at a foot longer hasn't seen the same problems.
