I have eternabond taped 20% of my skylight around the edges where caulk goes and painted the rest of it white to keep the sun from eventually cracking it.

Since our Bullet Premier has curved high ceilings we do not have or need a skylight in the shower. We do have the fan vent over the shower and that is fine. If it rains and the vent is open the water just goes in the tub.

Someone else on the IRV2 forums mentioned coating the skylight (outside) with a tool grip coating. (plasti-dip or similar) Available at the big box stores. I did a test spot and when dry, it just peels off if you change your mind. My DW likes it. Still lets in about 95% of the light.

If you have a Fantastic Fan you can get an insulated top for it. We added them on the Dutch Star and the Magna comes with them standard. They do cut out a lot of the heat and cold too.
