Unhappy Slide Motor Replacement Suggestions and Roof

I have a 2004 Prowler. The slide motor is shot. Looking up replacements and they are beyond over priced $400-800....does anyone know if you can use something other than what was original? Need a more cost effective solution.

Second...roof needs love...does anyone have any suggestions on where to buy the rubber roofing at a cost effective price?

Thanks again!!!

Those slide motors I think are pretty specialized. Low rpm and lots of torque. What's up with the roof. Have you looked at options like kool seal

Unfortunately I have a few soft spots, and places that have been leaking. So I have to pull up the old replace the damage and put down a new roof. I know there are alot of choices out there just want to make the best choice for cost and durability.

Yeah slide motor is $800-900....I simply can't afford that especially for a 2004 camper...

I had a bad spot in the 5'er. The water started leaking around the antenna. I found it by noticing rusty staples in the ceiling. I carefully removed one single panel from the inside, then removed the insulation and the soft spot just crumbled away from below. I carefully picked at it till all the bad wood was gone. I cut a new plywood and glued it up to the rubber roof from below then glued another bigger plywood over that making a patch stronger than the regular roof. Then I put new insulation back and carefully replaced the panel. It was completely impossible to tell it had been done. If you took your time and was careful you can do the same thing.

RV Slide Out Motors

Try EBAY section, may find used motor or maybe a stripped gear is the problem.
