Slide out boot

Has anyone heard of the slide out boot? I've been thinking about getting a slide out cover, but I recently ran across another option for protecting the slide out. Just wanted to know what people thought about either product and are they worth the $$$$?

I'm interested in some feedback on this subject, too. Has anybody tried these? It looks like a nice alternative. They have been out long enough for some kind of use tests? Anybody?

Got to see one in the shop a month back. Seems ok but really doesn't do much. It still is secured UNDER the trim on the outside flanges. So it just defeats the whole purpose. Just adds color, protects roof/sides, and keeps more water from getting to the slide gaskets.
