Slide out not moving

My slide out motor runs but slide doesn't move. I think the motor is going bad. Battery is charged and it moves when I push on it to help the motor. Anyone have any ideas?

What gear system; hydraulic, rack/pinion? Could be motor, gears, gear box.

Could be stripped gears if no gear box and screw.

The motor moves it but it's weak. Does anyone know what the charging voltage should be at the battery when it's trickle charging?

Trickle charging? Your converter (not knowing ANYTHING about your trailer, converter, or otherwise) should put out 13.2VDC-14.5VDC.

Rick my coach manufacturer requires me to have the engine running when moving the slides in and out, which provides plenty of power as needed to the slide motors.

Try it and see...

Hope this helps...

Make sure there are no rugs or items under the slide that could be jamming things up.

Also, get a couple friends and have them gently/equally assist the slide in deploying/retracting.

If you can get the slide in/out with help, probably a weak motor. Been there, done that.

Take some pictures of your slide motor and guide bars and post if possible.
