Just loading up our new Layton Joey 253 with slide out and being able to see the top of the slide out from my front step I noticed the big black flat seal that sits across the top of the slide where it comes out of the unit was flat in places and rolled back under towards the inside in the middle. I was able to easily slide it out flat all the way across, but it felt like it had been sitting that way for a while as it had a very slight curl to it from the rolled under position. My thought is the seal should be laying fairly flat after the slide is out?
I looked inside after running the slide in and the seal is in all kinds of positions. However, the unit has been on the dealers lot for a couple of months and no leaks. I've had it a week with a couple of showers and I can't find any sign of leakage anywhere. Any concerns with the black seal??? Hitting the road this weekend for the trial run. Safe travels all.
