I have a 285 homestead rancher...what are peoples thoughts on the slide? Leave the slider out all summer or bring it in during the week when its not in use ? It does have a slide topper...

Personally just like an awning I would retract the slide when you're not there. That slide topper can take a beating if it runs into a bad windy storm when you're away. I witnessed a topper being torn to shreds in a bad storm. I make a practice of bringing the slides in whenever a bad storm is upon us. I know that's what insurance is for but I much rather stay away from repair facilities as much as possible. Good luck.

Slides should be in when you're not using the RV.
