I found 2 different solar chest freezers and 1 propane/electric chest freezer.
Has anyone used these? What do think about them?
We would like to take one to Alaska, to bring back lots of salmon.

we are going the end of July and i'm thinking about a 110 freezer 5-7 c.f.. we have a T/T so I will carry it in the back of the truck. we are planning to stay were we will have electric most of the time but we do have a generator. I thought if I have to I can run the gen wile we travel down the hi-way. if its full it should stay frozen for a couple days as long as its kept closed. I looked into a 12volt one but the price was outa sight and the 110 units are cheep.

This is what I would do. Home Depot has them on sale sometimes for less than $150. Practically a disposable freezer at that price.
