Stabilizer Jack Replacement

Hi to all

I have a question about the stabilizer jacks on our new Jay Feather Ultra Lite 221. The jacks that came on it are some off brand, they are made very cheap, I canít see them lasting very long.

They are made like the BAL C Jacks, has anyone changed their jacks out ? If so what did you replace them with?

Thanks

I had a stabilizer jack fail on my unit. I got a replacement from Open
Road R.V. here in town. They sold me a Husky jack, that bolted on using the existing holes. 5 minute repair. I will eventually replace the other three, as finances permit. The Husky is a far superior jack compared to the ones that the factory put on our travel trailer.

I have the same question. My Surveyor 291 has some really crappy 'stabilizing' jacks that bent the first time I cranked them down. I want to get some good scissor jacks that can support the trailers weight for getting the trailer level. Not sure what the best brand is out there (Or how to measure properly for the right size jack).

My other tt had BAL Scissors Jacks, they was very good.

All you need to do is level the tt and get the dimension from the bottom of the frame to the ground.

Here is the web site.

I picked up a set at harbor freight, they seem to do the job and I have had no issues with them. I have had them on for 3 years

Hi All

I replaced the jacks today that came on our tt with the Bal C Jacks, everything went well.

Man, you talk about a big improvement, it donít even take half the amount of cranking to lower and raise the C Jacks as compared to the other ones.

The C jacks are made a lot better, the ones that came on the tt was made in China, the Bal Jacks are made in the USA.
