Steps are hard to move
We have 2 sets of steps on our TT. We purchase it new last May they were
difficult to move then. One of the sets have been getting harder and harder to fold up and down.
We wanted to be careful what I used on the joints, as not to attract more dirt and sand.
Any suggestions?

Boeshield T-9 does well for outdoor metal-metal joints. Hardware and parts stores

I am complicated.
I use WD40 to clean it out, rinse the WD40 with Dawn and water mix (best OTC degreaser), rinse the soap out, wait for it to dry, then use a dry lube.

WD-40 to degrease and clean it, blow it "dry" with compressed air or wash. Re-lube with white lithium grease spray. It's not dry and thus it does collect some dust/debris, but I do it every 2-3 months, as needed. Reason for me is that the friction points will wear the paint off and start rusting. Silicone does a good job too, but I find it harder to clean off and it does not lube heavy joints near as well.
