Lightbulb Still Thinking

Well here I am again, update, still thinking about the purchase of: 2001 Rockwood RV Roo
25 TT w/slide (used) Dealer asking $3999...
It has a "salvage title"-
Questions? What does this mean
Is the TT Insurable
Is the TT resellable
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
By the way the interior & exterior looks good.
Most notable problem/flaws; canvas (front)
need replaced or just a good cleaning and the
floor redone due to a soft spot.
Thanks again!!

Pretty sure "salvage title" means that at some point, the trailer was totaled by an insurance company. Personally, I would look elsewhere. It may look good but how straight are the axles and the frame?

I would not consider a salvage title. When your ready to upgrade you will more than likely have trouble selling it with a salvage title. I doubt anyone would take it in on a trade-in.

In the automotive world, a salvage title vehicle only hold about 1/3 of the value, and is difficult to sell.

It may have had a rotted roof, wall, floor, been in a wreck, you never know. It may have been something stupid, or major. I wouldn't do it.

A soft floor can mean there is rotten wood underneath. Is there any odor in the trailer? I am rebuilding a trailer right now and found much more damage than I thought was there. I got the trailer very cheap and it's a good thing I did.

With a salvage title, and at that age, I would look else where or offer the dealer $1000.00 and no more.

Rockwood does not have a history of building trailers that last for a long time. Several folks we have known over the years had Rockwoods and were not happy...lots of leaks.

With a salvage title, it could also have been in a flood.
