Help I tried searchs first. My daughters travel trailer was vandalized in storage some one cut the battery cables and stole the battery. I have a class A so this is out of my knowledge field. The cable has a molded in 50A fuse holder with a end too short to splice on too. I would like to cut it behind the fuse and replace with a new cable end with fuse holder built in. The ground cable end also is gone.
Where can I find the replacement cables? Auto parts stores have been of no help so far.
Any help appreciated here.

That's terrible --- have you tried rv supply stores like camping world or maybe even walmart ?

Go to oreily's and have them order some double ott cable in the lengths you need they have the ends you beat on with a hammer.

Some battery stores make-up cables to order, also some rent-all stores. Call around and inquire. Near me there is a battery store/shop that not only offers racks of ready-made cables, they have huge rolls of cable and all kinds of terminals for made-to-order jobs.

Any truck repair shop will be able to make the cables,the fuse may be a problem.

My local battery dealer has all kinds of battery cables and terminal ends available. They will make up any cable needed. For the fuse holder you might try an auto sound store. High powered car stereos usually use big wire with big fuses hooked to big battery terminals to power the amplifiers. This stuff is usually pretty pricey because people want gold and chrome for the bling factor. They may have non-fancy parts that would be reasonably priced.
I would consider installing a large 50A breaker instead of a fuse. If a fuse ever blows and you have no spare (or can't find it) you have no power.

Sorry I'm interrupting your travel trailer thread, but I just did a Google search on "battery cable with fuse," (without quotes) and got a lot of hits.

Some suggestions, try an RV dealer, or a marine store.

Good luck, and all makes of RV's have batteries and cables, not just travel trailers. Hee hee!

Edit: p.s., it doesn't have to be an "in-line" fuse. Many MH's have fuse blocks mounted on the compartment wall where the batteries are. That would work just as well. The important part is to protect the system from polarity reversal. Don't have tunnel vision on "in-line fuse."

Xantrex, a manufacturer of RV converter/inverters, has a line of fuses that may interest you. All you need is $$$.
