Hey i am storing my travel trailer indoors. It will be shared with some 18 wheelers. Anybody think the smell from exhaust fumes will transfer to the interior of my trailer?

Yes. Gets everywhere unless really ventilated well. I spent over 20 years in a fire station diesel soot contamination into the living and eating quarters was a serious issue.

not as long as you keep the windows closed and there are no other air leak's

Thanks. Is there anyway to prevent this? Like take out the mattress, etc. Will it eventually air out again. Unfortunately, I need it where it is at as I am replacing the roof. Any advice would help

Are the 18 wheeler's also "stored" there? If so why would they be running indoors.

I would be more concerned about someone backing into it than diesel smell getting into the trailer.

It sure beats being outside all winter

Age of the diesel's also matters. Older engine's will be blowing soot.

IMO This will be a real concern if you are replacing the roof there as you say. It gets everywhere. All the route trucks I worked on (21) had exhausts that were at floor level, yet all the roofs had plenty of soot and oil/grease stains on them.
