Welcome to iRV2.

Could you add the year and model of your water heater to your post .

Do you have the owners manual with trouble shooting guide?

Is the water heater in bypass mode? If there is no water in the tank it will overheat and shut off.

I myself made that mistake among others as I am sure others have. This is why a checklist becomes so important since most of us only use our mobile retreats during the warm season and not always every weekend so it's easy to skip a very important part. I saw a few people drive away with their antenna still up and hit branches as they left the park.
