Tail and side marker lights

I learned when you have shore power and you are disconnected from your tow vehicle, you can power your tail and side marker lights by plugging in a fuse to make the connection in the 7 pin wiring harness. I have done this in the past on my old travel trailer and it worked fine. My question is, could this do any damage to any electrical components on the trailer?

And you can put a flasher from NAPA in those two holes and the lights will flash! NO HARM to your electric stuff. You are just putting 12 volts from the batteries to the running lights. You can do the same thing with out shore power, but keep an eye on your batteries!

Oh, yeah - you don't need to use a fuse as the lights have their own fuses in the trailer...I just use a piece of jumper wire that I keep in the glove compartment.

I think it is kinda cool for special occasions, but a bit over the top for this introvert...

I bought one from Eco led I think that's them.

It plugs into your 7 pin plug and has a eye to tell it when it gets dark out and shuts off after 5hrs I think.

Had it for 3 years seems to work well.

Not for everyone but I like it.

Not everyone has a fuse for the markers in the trailers. So it is still a good idea to use a fuse.
