We sold our truck camper and have been looking into Travel Trailers. Our local Terry dealer is blowing out his new '07 trailers at some decent prices. 2 that we are looking at are the 250RLS ($20,900) and the 270FQS ($21,900) (the level up from the Resort). I see alot of mixed reviews on the Terrys/Fleetwoods. Are these good trailers that are going to stand up to the off-road 4-seasons camping that we do, or should we be looking at something else like Arctic Fox? Thanks!

Overall after having one for a few years I think the Arctic Fox is far superior in most respects over the Fleetwood products. Not that Fleetwood can not make a good product, but I think Northwood does a but better job with the exception of the upholstered cushions. They use some really cheezy foam and they tended to break down pretty quick if you sit on them for more than fifteen minutes. If I were to buy another one I would immediately replace all of the cushion foam with better quality stuff.

We looked at Terrys & Prowlers (both Fleetwood) when we were researching 5th wheels. I was not that impressed with their quality or fit/finish of the units. We ended up with a Cougar (Keystone). Since then, we traded it for, of all mfrs, a Fleetwood product, which we like very much. But then, I think their motorhomes are better put together than their trailers are.
Just my opinion.

Fleetwood products seem to vary from plant to plant. There is a good chance that the Terry you are looking at was built in OR. My neighbor has a 1992 Terry that is still going strong with little or no major work. I will have to second the Arctic Fox/Nash vote as well. My 2005 22H has worked just fine from day one.
