The more I think about it, the more I realize that it's may not necessarily be the mattress or topper, but in our case it's the change from the bed at home to the rv !
(of course the rv's original mattress WAS pretty weak )

Why we decided to get a second king memory foam mattress for the rv just like at home - therefore no difference !!!

I will sleep crappy no matter what the type of bed!

Fact of the matter is we sleep in a King at home and we have a Queen in the RV.
The only difference between the king at home and the queen in the RV is I get less room in either case, except with the RV, I get a LOT less! I'm kinda bunched up against the wall!

My wife sleeps Great! She uses the same amount of bed she uses at home as in the RV (most of it). She needs a pillow on each side and then throw in our dog and VOILA!

I'm one roll away from the floor!

MattressInsider.com does custom memory foam and latex cut corner rv mattress replacements.

their custom mattress page:

Here is a Gel Memory Foam Mattress that can be made with cut corners:

We have a table that makes into a bed... so I'm not complaining, it is what we wanted to afford at the time. I made it more comfy by adding a 2 in memory foam topper, but it has to be rolled up when we make the table. I've wondered about an air mattress under the topper. Might try that! Thanks for the ideas.

We've tried the Memory Foam topper on our mattress at home. What a waste of money. I think I've figured out why European birth rates are so low. Impossible to have sex on.

My husband's company makes horse trailers with living quarters and the beds are crap. They don't even look like they are comfortable. Our sticky has our old queen mattress which should ever get replaced is not coming out of the camper the way it went in. The Scamp has hard foam covered in upholstery, don't ask me why and a pain to put sheets on so I don't take it too kindly when someone can't get the camper level on the head side.
