Why? Doesn't look much different than towing a stacker trailer.

I'm not going to get into it but there's a weight ratio issue, I can tow my 32' TT with my YUKON but it's not a good idea, even with the proper equipment winds from a hurricane even those that are from the outer edges can push something that big off the road I'm in SC in the NW corner of the state and have had gusts that knocked down trees since that storm started getting close to land, I'm at least 500 miles north of Miami, also I drove medium and heavy duty wreckers for over 20 years in Jacksonville FL and have seen a lot of mishaps from people evacuating past storms, because they didn't think about what they were doing. Just because it can be done doesn't mean it should be.

What's the big deal? Most all DP's have a 10k towing capability and some have 15k.

Does not seem to be a lot of traffic. Was this taken early in the evacuation or near the end?

I have friends who pull a travel trailer with their motorhome on a regular basis without any issues.

From the angle of the trailer, (nose down), I would guess they do not regularly tow that trailer. Probably trying to save as much of their belongings as possible. No problem as far as I can see.

Just when you think you've seen it all.
You get the { self edit } who blew the trans in his truck , and decided this was the way to get his truck and 5er home.

I wish I had snapped the shot of the DP pulling a full sized pickup with a full sized Honda trike loaded in the bed of the truck but I was too taking an exit ramp.

That 5er on the tow bed though....wow.

I see DP's pulling enclosed trailers bigger than that TT all the time so am not so surprised to see that so much. I am not saying it's a great idea but that doesn't stop people from doing it.

So are you saying they shouldn't pull a big trailer?
