Here's a 5th vote for the Michelin LTX M/S 2 - E rated tire. I use them on all my trucks and vans and routinely get between 85,000~100,000 miles, regardless of who's driving them. Besides giving very good all around performance, if you examine the life-cycle cost they are IMHO the least expensive tire out there.

As a data point, on my Dodge Diesel pickup, the original set just came off at 108,000 miles. The current ones have 30,000 on them and don't look a bit worn at all.

Michelin tires are the best for what you say you want. My new truck came with Firestones but I would rather have the Michelins any day.

X2. On 2nd set. Low highway noise. Rotate on regular basis and I'm getting over 50k on them. No complaints...well one complaint, $.
