Toddler proofing bike door

Needing advice on how to make our bike storage door toddler proof. Has the lock on the inside, where he plays/bunks are. In just a couple of mins. He had it figured out. We temporarily placed a adhesive childproofing cabinet strap lock on the outside of the door b/c that's all we had the last camping trip. If it was up to me, I'd like a padlock. 😉

Husband wants to make sure before drilling into the camper. Suggestions?

When we had our TT, I cut a piece of plexi that I got from HomeDepot to fit all the way across the door. It covered the latch so little fingers couldn't open from inside. The door still functioned the same from outside.
