Tote-N-Stor

Just recieved me 32 gal. Tote-N-Stor tank from Amazon and returning it !!!! Not only was it missing the tow bracket, that the box even stated it included, i filled a little more than half full ( with clean water ) and it took all i had to lift it. Might consider the 15 gal model, options please.

Jim

I understand the need for these, but even at 15 gallons the weight will be too high to manage.

Maybe if they were in the back of a truck and a pump was used to fill it and then gravity to empty. Or a lift assisting system to get it hitched, and a power motor to drive it to the hitch

Yep, I had this same problem. I am 50ish and in great physical condition. I was afraid that by lifting and pulling I would hurt my back. I ended up getting the Thetford 4 wheel version that I don't have to lift (just pull). Much more manageable and I am not afraid of hurting my back. If I had to again though, I would get a 18 or 20gal thetford (still 4 wheels) in place of the 35gal thetford. I would not get a 2 wheeled version at all.

The other advantage of a smaller tank is room saved for other toys in the truck bed.

I agree. I have the Barker 42 gallon with 4 pneumatic wheels and only tow it when it is full. If you have to move it long distance (like there is no dump available), you will want to look into a mercerator pump so you can pump it uphill into the back of your truck. The only time I lift it is when it is empty.

X2 Macerator with a short hose from MH to Barker in back of truck. Sewer hose gravity dump from Barker to sewer opening.

Maybe it's a TX thing. Mine is 25 or 28 gallons. That honeywagon is pretty heavy when it's full. Any bigger and it would have to be a 4 wheel version.

A gallon of water weighs about 8.3 pounds. A gallon of whatever come out of your black tank is probably close enough to that. Do the math and 32 gallons of yuk isn't going to get lifted very easily. I had a 15 gallon tote with my TT and keep it in my MH now just in case. If I had to lift it, I would not fill it. I'd make a couple of trips.
