trailer emergency brake cable

Where is the best place to hook your emergency brake cable to your truck?...I just bought this travel trailer and it is fastened to the power plug that hooks into the truck thanx

The book says hook to a part that is

1: Firmly part of the truck and
2: NOT part of the hitch.

So that is the best answer I can give, If you have a hitch such as a class 3 which attaches to the frame rales but NOT to the rear bumper.. Hook it to the rear bumper. Should be hooked as close to the hitch ball as possible though, or snake it through a safety cable attach point, (That way turning and such won't pull it out)
