"brown wire connected to brown tail light wire (left side)
brown/red wire connected to brown tail light wire (right side"

Brown wire is all taillights, Left side Right side and marker light.
Brown/Red could be trailer brake if so equipt.

pulling my hair out

my question is, how can the blinker light work(same bulb and wire as the break light) and not the break light, i will put the tester on the tow vehicle plug and it shows juice being sent to the blinker/break light wire (same wire) of course the only difference is the tester shows blinking with the blinker on and solid light with break light on, the break light juice does not seem to make it to the light when the blinker does, can not figure this out. help!

Here is your problem.

the tail lights i purchased are brand new out of the box LED tail lights

LED lights are different from regular bulbs. For brake lights it get another source of power. In other words it lights another set of diodes. I found this the hard way trying to make my golf cart lights work. There were three wires for the tail lights. I was told to connect only the + and the white - to make them work. I was connecting all three and had very bright tail lights. Removed one wire and it was normal.

hmmmm

this makes sense, however i followed the diagram that came with the kit but the diagram doesn't show the white wire(ground) from the light. what would you suggest? how did you fix the golf cart problem? when you say "i was told to connect only the + and the white" what do you mean by that? what is the +?

thanks dave

These are the standards for trailer wiring.

If it doesn't work it is because the China manufacturer didn't read the page.

These led lights, does the package say that there set for a vehicule that as turn signal light seperate from the brake light. Like most Import cars have. Then the wires would work like this

White = ground
Green = Right turn lamp
Yellow = Left turn lamp
Brown = Tailamps ( all )
Brown / Red = Brake lights

Also, have you tried just turn signal without park lamp on.

One thing I don't think I get. Does the ground wire go THROUGH the trailer and TV plugs? If not you can have some real problems. Been there done that.
