Transition Strip for slide out

Hello all, I'm new to the site here. I am replacing the vinyl flooring in my TT due to the original flooring cracked the full length a few winters ago. So we decided to go with laminate on the floor and the slide out. My question is does anyone have any ideas or solutions for the transition?

Highland Ridge does it on their new 2017 trailers. I don't like it. We were at an RV show and walked in a new HR TT. Where the vinyl lapped onto the main floor from the slide floor, there' an air space under it. They did it just like you do the carpet. Like a flap. Well someone or something (women with pointy heels maybe) punt some small dents in it. It could of been from a dinning chair leg too. Anyway It just looked out of place. My suggestion would be too stop it at the edge of the slide and cap that edge with something.
