Hello Friends !

My wife and I have decided that next year we will get a travel trailer. My auto lease is up in March, so we have until then to at least get a tow vehicle. I am leaning toward the F150 SuperCrew 4x4 (of course) with the EcoBoost engine so we are looking at the dealers for trailers in that towing range. I have no experience with towing or camping so I'm sure I have a lot to learn.

I know the search function is my friend, but I would like to ask you all what was the one thing you forgot to do or wish you had done when you bought your first towable ?

Thanks ! I look forward to exploring the forums and learning.

Dave

I forgot to evaluate the OEM hitch. My tow vehicle has a 14,500 GCWR which includes a 7,500 GTRW. But, the hitch is only rated at 600 lbs. As you'll find out, this hitch rules out a LOT of travel trailer options.

Good luck and have fun researching. I've been enjoying the process myself.
