Unhappy UGH! Damsel in distress!

Recently purchased 2008 Keystone Hornet no warranty as I bought privately. Think I jinxed myself as I just posted about whether I should purchase extended warranty for 4 years $1300. Well today went out to seasonal site and frig which has been running great - all of a sudden is running to cold so I adjusted and moved from 2-1 setting. Well within hours everytime I opened frig it would start flashing and temp was getting warmer. No code is displayed just 6 (number) of flashes! Eventually the light went out and I then turned the frig off.
I am hoping on hope that I can get some options to check out before calling in some big buck repair service.
If you are so kind to respond please be specific with problem solution solvers as I am not an RV mechanic!
Thanks so much!

In order to get specific answers, we need specific details:
-What exactly is the make and model of the fridge?
-Was it on AC or LP?

Norcold - I had it running on AC
I tried to switch over to LP and it still flashed. When I looked in manual all it said was call a service tech.

You're getting close. Look inside the door and there will be a sticker with the model number. Norcold is the manufacturer (make) and there should be a number on that sticker inside the door.

Also, there was a recall on some Norcold model refrigerators. You have to take the vent off of the back (outside rv) and see if there is a little black box that is plugged into the circuit board.

Visit the Norcold web site to see the instructions on how to determine model and serial numbers. Give them a call with that information and see if you specific refrigerator is on recall and has been fixed. If not, get-r-done immediately.

Using your make and model refrigerator, do a search for the service manual. When located, it will have a code section that tells you what the 6 flashes mean and possible remedies.
