When we had TT's (before 1988) I left everything hooked up with no troubles.

I often stay connected when I'm only overnighting . I will use the tongue jack to level. Just remember to disconnect the electric plug from your tow vehicle. Don't want to run down your start battery. Ask me how I know ( facepalm ). Thanks for kind campers and a set of jumpers. Never leave home without them. ...Dusty

No problem leaving it hooked up. We now have a fifth wheel, but with our previous TT, we often left it connected when just stopping for 1 night and heading out next morning. We would usually drop the real stabilizers for comfort (eliminating movement while you are stopped).

For only overnighting, like in a WalMart parking lot, I find a place that is level or really close to level side to side, but with a slight uphill grade, nose up just a little. I leave it all hooked up, and climb in and go to bed. Never a problem.
The reason I look for nose up just a little is if I sleep nose down, even just a little, my sinuses get stuffy and I don't breathe as well.

Question.. when you are in Bed.. do you face the front or rear of the trailer... just uphill does not answer the question.
Head higher or Feet higher.?
I do not unhook for an overnight. Tongue jack down, and stabilizers down with wood blocks. no damage to pavement.

With the 450 and 5er we did not unhook or drop and jacks for an overnight. Tried to find the most level spot left in the parking lot.
