Up to 22 feet and 6000 total towing weight

Hello, We have a 5th wheel now --but next year we want a smaller more easily pulled trailer. We will be pulling it with a GMC Tahoe with 5.3 engine and towing package. We are looking for an older unit ( about 7-10 years old) that is up to 22 feet long and not more than 6000 pounds loaded ( about 5000 empty). I also think I would like a slide out to give more floor space.

I have looked at many sites but I have not figured out how to narrow the search to this criteria. I am sure there are still plenty of manufactures and styles that would work -- but I would like to know who might have had one like this and would recommend that one OR NOT! From that info I will be able be a more informed shopper. Thanks, Bill

Hello wstuck , I bought a funfinder x. 210wbs It is made by Cruiser It maybe something to look at. I pull with a Chevy 1/2 ton 5.3 2002. My tt ways in at 3390 dry. It is just over 43 loaded. It's max is 6000. Try looking on RV Trader. I found the app on Google play store.

Looking for used I would start with Craigslist in your area. Look at every unit that might fit your needs. Layout is the important thing if you want to be satisfied with your selection. Look at a lot of Units but first ask what it weighs. Don't look at anything you can't tow.
I discovered a fantastic lightweight manufacturer a few years ago...right at the time they went out of production. The parent company still exists but now only produces custom motorhomes. The super light weight trailers they did make were great. High quality and super light. My 26 ft "R-Vision Trail Lite" travel trailer weighs 3,370 lbs
dry weight. It is loaded with all options but has no slides. The company did make units with slides. If you can find one by this maker look at it.
There are many light weight trailer manufactureres out there and you might end up with a larger trailer with a layout you like that is within your tow weight range.
Good Luck and enjoy your search.
