Do you have an onboard generator? If you don't, you won't have or need a transfer switch. The transfer switch allows you to get power from your generator without having to plug your shore power cord into an outlet from the generator.
Yea no generator here, so that elimnates the switch. So that really just means I would need a 50 amp power center, run bigger wire from my main wire you my power center. Rewire the OE stuff to split it to l1 and l2 and drop the cord from the new a.c. unit in. Possibly a new battery. To do a full upgrade? I'm not doing it now, but I've got the a.c. unit going in on its own circuit, so this will probably be my next job.
