We are interested in buying a Trail-Lite 8250s. This is a 28 foot trailer with one pop out. Features we like are: the bath area is in the middle, separating the trailer into two sleeping areas. Also, the shower is an enclosure rather than a tub with curtain.

We are having trouble finding an 8250s to look at in California. Are there other models we should look at that have similar features?

take a look at holiday rambler , Al-28rls and the AL 26rks. I have a 2001 holiday 31cks thats very similar to what your looking for, side kitchen with a huge rear window and a 16' slide. Its a fair amount more weight but very comforatable , full size pull out bed in the LR and 2 full sized recliner chairs at the rear window ,front bedroom with a walk around queen , midship bath that you walk threw . They built this model for a bunch of years , I think 2005 was the last year . Very well built trailer with smooth skin and its insulated enough to stay in in -15F temps with 2 electric heaters. Mine has thermo pane windows , isulated floors with belly rape. Inuslated windows are a nice upgrade for any weather cold or hot.

Thanks for your reply. I have poked about the internet a bit more. Looks to me like Alumalite and Trail Lite are becoming more and more alike. They are both owned by Monaco, so that is not a surprise. I wonder if the two lines will merge.

Yes, the models you mention have baths in the middle. So that feature is not unique to the 8250s.

Also, I stumbled on to the fact that the shower we like is called a neo angle shower. It is available on other trailers also.

It appears that the 8250s has been replaced by the TL26RK. They both have a couch slide, mid bath and neo angle shower. But the RK is heavier, shorter and more expensive. This is progress?
