water heater element

i have an atwood hot water heater, fried the element, where can i replace it, would a hardware store carry these?

I doubt you will find one in the hardware store, You will need an RV dealer or Amazon may carry them.

Hardware store, Lowe's and Home Depot to name a few. Usually they use a 120 volt, 1400 to 1500 watt element.

I took my Passport to the dealer and the problem was fixed under warranty. The issue to consider is that your relay and/or circuit board can be fried as well.

A regular hardware store 15oo watt will most likely work, just be sure to buy a shorty one ! They are not very expensive from Amazon . You may want to replace the anode rod while you are at it !

Yep Lowes has ours for like $12. The local rv store wants close to $100. Same thing.
