Water heater noise

First time turning on water heater in electric mode. Noise comes from both hot and cold when turning spigot. Missing something on how to operate water heater in electric or just air in lines?

Are your sure the noise you're hearing isn't the water PUMP, not the water heater?

Always make sure the air is out of the hot water lines before turning on the water heater. If the tank is very low or empty it will burn out the element. We actually only run ours on an as needed basis. 20 minutes before needed and off when done. the water in the tank will stay hot for a few hours when off anyway.

Does the water spit like when it come out? It can be air in the pipes, which
takes a little time to get out the first of the season (or new trailer).

Are you using city or tank water?

What kind of noise?

Did you purge the air out of the lines before you turned on the heat?

City water or pump?
