water pressure
The water pressure at the campground i'm at is not good at all, when you first open the tap its ok for about 2 sec then drops off. I was wondering if I could you my electric pump at the same time to get a steady pressure. I tried it for a couple sec and it seemed to work great, but I didn't want to damage my pump. Has anyone tried this with success?
Thanks Rick

Yes, you can use your fresh water pump (as long as there's water in the tank because that's where the pump gets its water) to supplement the shore water. I've done this at campgrounds during peak water usage times (early morning/late night showers) when a lot of RV's are using water.
However, you may want to check to be sure your water lever is not set to "FILL TANK". If it is, that'd be why you don't have any water pressure. You'll know soon enough, though, as it'll come out your overflow, once your tank is full.

That is a symptom of a restriction somewhere inside the RV or not far outside. The fact that you have high pressure for 2 seconds, tells me that is the available pressure. If you have a water pressure gauge, what does it read with no water flowing? If you have one of the cheap, barrel shaped regulators inline now, they can cause the symptom you are having.

I've camped at a campground where the water reservoir was level with the camp. The result was crappy water pressure that constantly changed depending on the number of campers tied in. Turned out to be easier just to fill the white water tank and use the pump.
