Water Problems

Got a water problem...need a water solution. Recent freezing weather forced me to turn off the water to my camper. To make sure nothing broke, I relieved pressure on all faucets (opened them for a minute). The trailer is heated insided year round but when I turned the water back on, no water in the trailer...ANYWHERE. There is water to the trailer and no visible leaks. Water is not running! What went wrong and where? All ideas will be explored as we are, at this time, unable to move the trailer to a service center.

you may think you relieved the press on the lines but the lines still had water in them, I am wondering if the weather is still cold enough for the lines to be frozen or the water inlet is frozen. use a hair dryer and heat the inlet to see if that is the problem. That's where I would start.

Answer to my own problem...the anti-siphon valve on the city water input. It's made of 3 parts (a spring, a plunger and a keeper). I guess during the freezing weather the input froze and caused the keeper to separate from the plunger. This allowed the plunger, under pressure, to seal on the inside connection thus preventing water from getting in. I put faucet covers on all the outside faucets but did think about the input fitting for the TT.

howdy neighbor from over in Polk County! glad to see you got it figured out and that it wasn't something that's gonna be expensive to fix! i drained everything, blew it all out, capped it all, poured the antifreeze in the drains. then we went down to Chattahoochee State Park this past weekend, and the 'Y' connector i put on the hose bib was busted on one side from having it closed with water trapped in it! oh well!
