Hello everyone I'm new to this site and as well to rving going to pickup my first rv 24 ft. rockwood windjammer 2102w in June can't wait just counting the days. I've got a question about WD hitches what's the difference between round tube & trunnion hitches and which ones are a good brand so many choices out there. The 2102w has a dry weight 4670 and can carry a load of 1900 lbs. with tongue weight of 585 lb. gvw of trailer 6900lb. Is a 1000 lb.TW x 10000 lb. hitch over rated for me I'm going to tow behind a 2003 toyota tundra V8 engine.

If you want the VERY best in anti sway the Hensley is the hitch.
Heavier than a 3P and in my opinion heavier is better and safer.

The answer to your first question is here:

Trailer Hitch and Towing Questions - Get Answers from Hitch Info Experts - Weight Distribution - What is the difference between Round bar and Trunnion style weight distribution systems?

Any other questions about hitches, this is the home page:

Trailer Hitch & Towing Guide

I've used Curt for years. You can pay more but hitches are not that complicated.
