We pull a 2003 Cedar Creek 33RLTS with a 2002 GMC Serria 2500HD CC D/A. Having a great time seeing the USA (when DW is not getting a grandkids fix).

We pulled a 21', '81 Triple-E for two years and then sold it. Just two small and at my age I have trouble making it through the night so was forever crawling over wife to get out.

Just purchased a '06 Jayco Jay Feather 29N (just under 31') and will be pulling it with '04 F150 supercab with HD towing package. Bought Prodigy brake controller and Reese Straight-Line hitch. Just counting the days till April 15th when we pick up new unit and get out with it for the first time.

440 Days till freedom

Congrats on the new purchase many happy times and miles to you and your family. But can I just ask a quick question? Have you run the numbers on the truck vs trailer? It just seems pretty close if not over. But I Will claim ignorance on the spec's on the trailer model. Pls don't take this as criticism just concern for you.

Thanks for concern. Trailer is light weight - 5120# UVW and GVWR of 6500#. Unloaded hitch weight is 765 and calculated loaded hitch weight (@ 15%) is 975#. Truck (5.4L w/ 3.73 rearend) is rated to tow up to 9500# so I am well within these values. Length was a close factor. Truck has 144.5" wheelbase and according to charts I shouldn't pull over 29' but I think I will be OK with the Reese WD hitch with dualcam sway control. I did a trial tow and it all seemed OK. Truck hardly noticed anything was attached but of course the trailer was empty.

I pulled the old 21' Triple-E which weighed right at 4000# loaded with no trouble at all and didnt even have WD or sway control. I guess we will just have to see. I will keep everyone posted.

Been told that the truck is a towing monster for a 1/2 ton.

I pull a 26' Coachman Cascade w/slideout with a 2005 Dodge 2500 Cummins Diesel. I LOVE both of them. Before these we had a '04 Chevy 1500 5.3literV8 pulling a 17' Tracker Hybrid. Much, Much more living & storage space in my Coachman.

I can't believe how nervous we were starting out with our first camper - a '95 pop-up. We really enjoy the ease of the 5th wheel now.

We have a 2003 Sunline Solaris 2553, and tow it with a 2001 Chevy Tahoe. We use the Hensley Arrow hitch, along with a Prodigy brake controller, and it tows like a dream. We've camped throughout the southeast, but this year we are going to Alaska! Before this trailer, we had a 1976 Wilderness that we owned for 22 years. I get my gold watch and welfare check on February 28. Free at Last!

went from pickup campers to a 20" tt, to a 26"tt to our current 28" 5th wheel. Took 4 years to get it set up just the way we want it,
but are loving every minute of it.
