What do they call it?

What is the correct name for the travel trailers power cord in front by the Tongue that you can detach from the travel trailer and plug into the travel trailer and then into your female Outlet on your hitch?

That's the "pigtail". (or is that the wire harness on the tow vehicle?) Oink-oink!

I have never seen a pigtail that you can detach from the trailer. I have made an extension cord from the pigtail to the tow vehicle when I needed a little more reach.

One end is 8 pin while the other is seven. I took one end apart and one of the wires isn't functional. So in the end it's still a 7 wire.
