What's a Joey?

My new trailer is a SkyLine Nomad Joey. Until yesterday I thought a joey was just a silly name variation of Joe. But I read my 2012 issue of National Geographic yesterday, and there was an article on koalas (which some folks call koala bears). It turns out that a joey is a baby koala (bear).

So maybe my Joey RV is a baby RV?

Grumpy ole man with over 50 years towing experience. Now my heaviest trailer is a 7,000-pound enclosed cargo trailer, RV is a 5,600 pound Skyline Nomad Joey 196S, and my tow vehicle is a 2012 F-150 EcoBoost SuperCrew.

Joey is a name given to a baby kangaroo, wallaby, or koala. Australian slang.
