Typically, blue LEDs have been cheaper than "warmer" yellower ones since they first were introduced. It's a lot easier to make an LED with a blue-white output. IMHO the lights people are describing in this thread are blue because manufacturers will choose the cheapest solution possible. If you like the blue color, that's all that matters.

FWIW, blue light makes the skin look terrible, and can even show subdermal imperfections. Switch to warm white, your wife will thank you!

It's a cloaking device for Bud Light cans.

Blue Light Update

The fine folks at Coachmen referred me to Dometic since the LED strip is part of the awning. I'll update when I get the non answer from them.

Brad34 - how do you like the Nano as far as quality and workmanship. I crawled underneath the other day and found that the tank sensor wires were just hanging loose. so was the wires for the electric brakes on the left side. Take a look.

Not trying to be a jerk. Everybody looks their worst under blue light. It actually shows not just imperfections on the skin but those under it as well. Dermatologists use blue light to spot cancers that have yet to surface. Blue light might make your RV look cool but it makes most people look like something off the Walking Dead... maybe your wife is an exception.

I don't know the rational behind blue lights, but red light does not interfere with your night vision.

Wow I will check that out. I wonder why your dealer didn't catch that, unless it happened after you picked it up?

Only time will tell on the quality. We have only had it out once so far. How is your water pressure from the pump/tank? Ours is pretty bad. I know it's not going to be as good as at home, but I would expect it to be at least a little better than it is.

We had been out twice so far, both on city water. The water pressure was a little low but it maybe the water pressure regulator that I had in line. I used the pump after I changed the bathroom faucet to test for leaks. A little noisy but seemed ok.
If you cook on the stove, be sure to open the window by the sink AND turn the bathroom vent fan on. I didn't and the smoke alarm woke the neighbors in the campsite.
