When will floorplans for 2018 models start showing up?

Just a question....when do the floor plans for the 2018 models start showing up? We are looking at buying a TT soon and have found things we like but like everyone else I don't want to buy now and then in a month or so when the new models start showing up there is one that was even better than the one we bought. We at least would like to see what is going to be available before buying.

Future plans are top secret just about everywhere. ORV does not leak any info about future builds or mods to protect dealers from getting stuck with present trailers. I suggest you just find a TT you like the way it is, and be happy with it.

Probably sometime in 2017. Do you really think they will come up with a new floor plan that hasn't been used before?

What is the floor plan that will work for you out of the many made in the last 30-40 years?

Once you know that then search for the length, how many slide outs or non, part time or a full time TT you want. That will also fit your budget.

Are you sure a 5th won't work for you? They have many floor plans.

I've found a few floor plans that we like but not all have Everything. We want a King bed, outside kitchen, walk on roof, towable by a F150, not a 5th wheel. I'm hoping that some of the current offerings will have King beds added to them for next year. We like the Winn Minnies but they only have Queen beds. If they had a King bed we'd be set.

Check Cougars. I think they are all Kings. Not sure about towing with a 1/2 ton though.

Ever actually had a king before? The ones we looked at meant you had to hop in from the foot of the bed and the nightstands and wardrobe on each side were all but useless. Also access to overhead storage was only manageable by climbing on the bed. We are biggish folks and a queen suits just us fine. You can get the sideways bed slide out to rectify some of that but it adds a lot of weight making it unlikely to be 1/2 ton towable.

Three things have to match.
+ Floor plan.
+ Tow Vehicle.
+ Cost.

I have found that a half-ton does okay under about 700 lbs tongue weight because their Max cargo capacity is filled with people, pets, tools and camp gear.

That puts you in the 25 ft light weight arena; king bed and walk on roof will be a challenge.

Good luck

We were at an RV show recently and found a TT with a king bed. It's not a true king in that it is only 72" wide instead of 76" wide. RV king I guess. Anyway the TT is only 8' wide and there was surprisingly enough room to walk around the sides of the bed. MY DW and I are on the slim side so that helps.

And the 2018 floor plans will be different how? But I do hope for better factory solar options.

2015 Winnebago 2101DS, 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe, 300 Watts of Windy Nation solar, Trojan T-125 batteries and a great attitude!

Depending on the mfr, they can be out as early as late Spring, but more like early Summer.

There's always a compromise. No matter when you buy, there will always be something different/better for the next model year. You can be chasing that "perfect" RV forever & putting off until tomorrow what you could be enjoying today.

Life is short. How much do you want to miss waiting for that RV that has "everything"?

How is it one careless match can start a forest fire but it takes a whole box to start a campfire?
