Headed to Abilene State Park. Never been there but it is the closest place to where we live that actually has shade.

We typically stay home on holidays. Everywhere is too packed and busy for our liking. The weekend after we are headed to a nearby CG with friends.

Staying home. We don't travel on the major holiday weekends, since we're retired and can go when other folks don't.
This year we have son and d-i-l coming over to visit from Japan, with almost 2-year old grand-daughter. After they're gone, we might do a four-day to a local SP near the Coupeville ferry terminal and go over to Port Townsend on a day trip as walk-ons.

May go somewhere next TUESDAY... Avoid any and all campgrounds on holiday weekends.

Going to Cape May, NJ for the week. Very nice RV park and great little town. Might be a little busy this weekend, but it will get nice & quiet by Tuesday.

Staying home. It's amateur weekend, although they are fun to watch setting up. Best weekends to camp are the weekends before and after a holiday.
