Rusty, now that we Know what to look for (and Know not to believe a thing the dealer says ) we will be Much More Selective in the future ... I do wish Id have found this Forum BEFORE we purchased ...

First trailer was wood and siding, it rotted away. It is imposible to keep water out. If you tow the trailer, leaks will happen within a few miles due to road wiggle. Our second and current trailer is fiberglass and aluminum. With the smooth joints around openings, you have a much better chance of sealing out water. However, after every trip, I closely inspect all seams and recaulk as necessary.
