Winter Storage

Hello! I am a new TT owner and would like to ask what you think about trailer covers? are they helpful? necessary? good-bad?
Also, I understand that rodents (mice) will get inside the camper..any recommendations for prevention? I am storing outside.

I see topics about tarps but none about Mice remedies?? Any suggestions??
It really looks to me like, there is no need for covers. I'm in Minnesota where winters are rough. There is so much to learn with these trailers..I pulled my trailer to a storage place and my power steering went out on my Yukon, not sure if the tow had anything to do with that, but, I'm a woman and boy, they see me coming at garages... )

I live in rural Michigan and we have mice. I have tried all the moth ball, fabric softener sheets, etc., none worked. I keep my trailer at home so I can check it. I put three traps in baited with peanut butter, one in storage area, 2 in living space, I also use D-con in both spots. Since then I catch about 1 mouse a winter in the trap, and have had no damage.
