Question Winterizing in California

I'm new to this. I live in the Sacramento area of Northern California. We Might get a week of freezing temps once or twice a year. It's more usual to just get a few days here and there of low 30's and more rarely high 20's. We're still using our new to us trailer planning another trip in a few weeks.

What is the best way to protect our trailer, and still keep it ready to use?

I live in Yucca Valley, and I still winterize my system whenever I see a call for freezing temps. You could probably plug the trailer in and run the heat, while maybe having a heating blanket installed under the fresh water tank. Assuming an all weather trailer it wouldn't be any different than camping in the winter somewhere. For me I've found it's cheaper to winterize the plumbing system than pay for the electricity to keep the heat running.

I empty the water heater first then fill the system with compressed air, about 40psi. Then open the various faucets and let the compressed air push all of the water out of the lines. You could also empty the fresh water tank.

1361 - I live outside Sacramento (Cameron Park) and have never winterized and have not had a problem. Although our temperatures drop to freezing or just below, it is only for an hour or two and your rig will be fine. However, if it gives you a warm fuzzy feeling, go for it. Won't hurt either way.

I live in Sacramento as well. I use compressed air to blow out the water lines, drain the fresh water tank and the water heater.
