Winterizing your TT

…I have a Starcraft Tihi 26 foot TT with 2 grey tanks and one black tank and I do not know how to winterize my trailer. The main thing I think is to get the water heater dry and also the lines. I was told to attach something (a thing) to my water intake and use a bicycle pump to pump air in and get all the water out. I guess my question is how do you get all the water out and the fluid in??? It seems to me if I get the water out I would not need any fluid. You will never know I am a rookie.

I just went through this exercise today and rather than try and explain it a video is an easy alternative, and mine, a teardrop is far less complicated with no black water system.

I just finished winterizing my Gulfstream Amerilite 21Mb. I opted to blow the water out of the lines and add the antifreeze to the drains but next year I hope to have the water heater bypass installed along with the antifreeze pickup tube at the pump. Its tarped and I lifted it off the ground and put jack stands under the axles so that the tires are off of the ground, I Armor All'd them and bagged them to keep them from dry rotting. I need to put something in the trailer to keep the mice away, someone said to try dryer sheets. Old Man Winter is just around the corner here in Michigan... So until next spring... Mudman1959
