Wood model of our tow vehicle

This is a companion thread to one I posted on Christmas day titled "Wood model of our travel trailer". I have now finished making a 1/12th scale wood model of my 2016 Chevy Colorado to go along with the model of our travel trailer. The truck is 19" long and has 5 different types of wood with a total of 97 pieces of wood in it. I'm pleased with the outcome, they go good together.

Top notch! Thanks for sharing part 2.

Love the inside. The door handles must have been very tedious to make.

The smaller parts are always the most difficult. It's one reason I like 1/12th scale. Just big enough to be able to add some great details. On the truck, the dash and grill were the most difficult. On the travel trailer, the faucets were the most challenging.

Thanks for all the compliments. I see you have one of the 1st gen Colorados. I really like the new ones. Over 300 HP V-6, great mileage and can tow up to 7,000 lbs.

Yes I am looking into the GMC Canyon with the diesel.

I always get interesting looks and questions when towing.

Current Colorado had a max of 5500 pounds tow capacity.
