Yes or No
This question is directed toward Ridge Line owner, but others can chime in. We are looking at getting a TT. One is 3500 lbs and the other is 4000 lbs. My question is, would you feel comfortable pulling a 4k trailer, 4 people and stuff with a truck rated for 5k? Yes or no. Thanks for the help.

NO! The max tow rating of the vehicle is set for ONLY a 150 lb driver in while towing . EVERY pound in the vehicle has to come off the payload capacity and the trailer tow capacity .
Load your vehicle , passengers , pets and gear and fill it with fuel and go to the scales.
YOU WILL BE SHOCKED at how little capacity you have left.
BTW: I do know for a FACT that certain years of Dodge; 1/2 ton, quad cab P/Us can be overloaded with an adult passenger in each of the six seats.
JMHO : the Honda Ridgeline will do fine towing a 14' aluminum boat.

I wouldn't actually consider a Honda Ridgeline a truck, more like a crossover with an open back end. And no, I would not hook one to an RV at 4K lbs.

No . Towing a small tent trailer would be about it.

Well then 3500 lber it is.
I know it is not a truck per se, but it does have truck functions, and actually these guys come with a bigger radiator, it also hast two large fans attached to it, heavy duty trans cooler, power steering cooler and a beefier transmission. So why they are not the biggest duck in the pond, Honda did put a lot of thought into it.

Just recently a poster on here bought a Lance 1575 that is 3,500 GVWR that was towing with a RIdgeline. I think most people would be surprised by its payload #’s.
Go to trailer towing forum and look for the title “Very Intimated”.
I have no experience with the RIdgeline, but know several people on another forum that tow around 3,500 lb Lance TT’s with their RIdgeline.
R-pods, Casitas, Scampi’s, Winne Drops are all other good options.

The Ridgeline is actually a tough little truck. If the one trailer has a GVWR of 4,000 lbs and has an aerodynamic front it is very possible you could tow it.
The Ridgeline has a cargo capacity of around 1,475 lbs. That is as much as some half ton trucks.
Saying that, sure the 3,500lb trailer will be more in the comfort zone.

Well I appreciate it guys. The wife actually likes the 3500lb one more, and you have helped make the decision much easier.

If you're going ahead with a purchase .
Weigh the combination before you get out on the road fully loaded .
You'll want both axle weights , to compare to the Honda's axle ratings .
With a family of four and their gear on board , I'm sure you'll be over weight on the rear axle , and more than likely , over the rear tire's weight capacity.

The front wheel drive one is rated at 3500. The all wheel drive unit is rated at 5000. I wouldn't tow anything more than a small boat or tent trailer.

Yes or No
With a 5,000 lb towing capacity and reasonable amount of payload capacity and rear axle capacity, after you go through the various towing calculators you might be able to tow a TT that weighs “dry” around 3,000 lbs (60% x 5,000). That is all. Just yourself...maybe more. Family of four...probably less. This is a very small and lightweight TT, but theoretically appears possible.

Yes
More info on the TT (s) you are considering and what year Ridgeline you are sporting would be a big help in assisting you.

It could be yes, it could be no. It would be helpful to know what the weight of "4 people and stuff" is. Without that information its pure speculation whether you can or can't. .
