Air compressor
We pull a fifth wheel around an I feel the need to have a portable air compressor. We don't do any dry camping but would like to have an AC/DC model for emergencies. I'm hoping someone can make a good recommendation or save me from buying a piece of junk.

I finally went to The Home Depot on a trip and bought a good pancake compressor. Don't remember the brand but it pumps up to 150 psi. Cost a little over $100.
Sorry about the brand but coach is in storage right now.

Thanks for responding. I have a pancake that I use around the house. I'm more interested in a smaller lighter one to keep in the fiver.

I agree a good pancake compressor is essential for the RVing person . The one I found at Home Depot is one called Ridgid
https://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGID-6...50HA/206859412
It does go to 150 psi max little bit over $100 it priced at $129 but it the cheapest one they had with max 150psi

Home Depot..porter cable..6 gallon pancake compressor..150 psi..around $100..awesome..buy separate D.C. Unit if you want as they are underpowered junk..JMHO oh...get 50 foot RUBBER air hose as you can reach all your tires without moving compressor!

Disagree...AIR is a huge factor in RVing and when I need it I want a lot of it so I can also help others who's 12 volt toy inflator won't do the job. My opinion only only...do what you are comfortable with...safe travels!

Sounds like solid advice and I already have the compressor and hose. I wanted to save space and weight. Thanks to all for taking time to respond.

You probably won't find an AC/DC solution, and you probably don't have a built-in generator in your 5th wheel, so unless you have a hefty inverter and battery bank you probably need a good DC compressor. I like to save money on seldom used items like this so I went with this one from HarborFreight:
https://www.harborfreight.com/12volt...sor-69285.html
I've used it several times (luckily not in an emergency) and it comes with a hose.

Ron...if you already have the compressor I might suggest the champion 2000 inverter generator to complete the package. I have plenty of power for an emergency situation and can provide power or air to anyone that needs help...that's what makes me happy

Hey...you've got my compressor...really like it! Can you get to the petcock to empty the air each time? You'll rust your tank if you don't.
