These are aftermarket improvements to air flow, on boxy vehicles from vans to SUV's to tractor trailers to RV's.
Anyone using them? Impressions?
According to the website they should give up to a 6% improvement in mileage. A Class A would need between 50-80 tabs. Mine would take around 74, or $185.
If I could save $0.13 per gallon (6% of $2.25), they would pay for themselves in 1500 miles.
Even if it was only 4%, thats $0.09 of $2.25, recover cost in 2100 miles.
NOTE: I have no affiliation with AirTabs.

I invested, applied/installed and then removed all, except those accross the top. My coach has too "rounded" sides thus the tabs were too far forward and not effective. May work on a "squared off" rear end. Left them on the top because they made a definate improvement in keeping my rear camera clear of dust and rain when moving. Mileage improvement? Since I only have them across the top probably none, but highly doubt you could tell even with a full appplication.

I "believe" a member told me last year that he saw no improvement in gas mileage. He did notice less dirt on the rear of the coach and the toad stayed cleaner in rain.

I think many of the air type deflectors have little affect on fuel milage. The most savings may very well be the driver operating more lightly to see if it can work.

I have read several posts in the past that indicated little or no increase in mpg, but they did indicate they increase stability when trucks passed from either direction.
Charles D. did you see any difference in stability when passed by trucks and by the way are you interested in selling any of your left over tabs?

They're common on high-performance aircraft, and do show a definite improvement there. But I kinda doubt we're driving things shaped like a LearJet or typically go as fast. But with the price of fuel, every little bit can help.
I agree it probably makes a lot more difference in how you drive, anyways.

I have air tabs and doubt they improve mileage. However, they do keep the rear cleaner, including the back up camera. Keeps water off then lens, not 100% but more like 99%. Also helps when trucks pass. I would buy them again but they do need to very close to rear of sidewall. Roger

Any possibility of an explanation of what an air tab is and maybe a picture?
I have to do a lot of winter driving and they sound like they could help.
Thanks

I have them on my 5th wheel. Little milege improvment but a good deal more stability when passed by a semi. A lot less sway.
Usually I'm doing 57 or so and the big rigs go 65-70
