I have this one. Rate of 1 cup per minute. I think I brew 2 cups and it still takes only a minute. Way faster than my keureig if it isnt pre heated (as in off/unplugged).

No pouring over and if you like hot coffee it is much hotter than the keureig or pouring over or french press. Even if you just use it to heat water its much faster than my electric water kettle which is pretty fast.

We have a Keurig and 12 cup electric percolator, we prefer the percolator. I set it up the night before, when I get up in the morning I turn it on, take the dog out for a walk. When we get back coffee is done. We dry camp mostly, I have six 6V deep cycle batteries, 2000 watt inverter and 540 watts of solar no need to run generator to make coffee.

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

Not a boondocker so can't advise you on the coffee! Keep her between the ditches!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

DW is die hard Kuereg fan when in a park. When not she uses French press. I started using a stove top ss percolator from Bass Pro and now that's all I will use. Power or not. YMMV.

Presuming that you have propane and a stovetop, I highly recommend the Bialetti Moka Express. They make coffee that is as close as you'll get to real espresso, but with no fancy machines and no filters. The "six cup" model makes 10 fluid ounces per batch, but if you cut it by half with hot water you'll have two fine mugs of Americano style coffee. There are larger (and smaller) ones too. The six cup model is about $20 via Amazon.

By the way, low and slow is the way to go when making java with one of these.
